Be Part of the 2017-2018 Rotary Academy

District 5030’s unique, powerful and comprehensive self-paced study program of Rotary information is about to kick off another great year!  With an extraordinary curriculum and a dedicated staff of instructors, this program provides a unique opportunity for both new and experienced Rotarians alike to deepen their knowledge and love of Rotary.  This program is especially valuable for new Rotarians and those considering or entering club or district leadership positions, however, all Rotarians are encouraged to register.

The program consists of eight independent lessons and a final essay on a topic of your choice completed from September 2017 through June 2018.  Lessons include the History and Organization of Rotary, Membership, Youth Service, International Service, Community and Vocational Service, District Policies & Procedures, The Rotary Foundation and Rotary Public Image.  You can work independently or create a study group in your club or even join with members of other clubs.  Lessons are completed at a pace of about 1 per month and submitted for review and feedback to the instructor as they are completed.  You are eligible for graduation by successfully completing all lessons.

The program kicks off with an evening orientation session on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 at the Alki Masonic Center in South Seattle and culminates with a dinner and graduation ceremony on June 16, 2018 at the Seattle Yacht Club.  Both start at 7:00 pm.  Registration deadline is Friday September 15th, 2017.  Cost is $95.00 for new students, $80.00 per student for those who register as groups of 2 or more, and $75.00 for returning students who registered but did not complete a prior course.  Cost includes all training materials and the graduation dinner.  Guests may attend the graduation dinner at a cost of $60.00 per person.
